Lovely clean fresh water. And there's nothing in the water that will eat you. On SW and W the water is really smooth so has great freestyle and speed run potential. If Desert Tortoise and wind is onshore, do not jump within 200m of the shore. When you jump, the kite gets above the wind shadow of the windward shore, and catches another burst of wind which can easily carry you onto the rocks. On North wind, can ride out to middle of lake for epic conditions and wind swell ramps for jumping. You really need a kite buddy to launch and land, usually from the end of Desert Tortoise road if lake is low, or from the point 200m west of 10-lane ramp if lake is high. Often need to stake out your launch area with parking cones and tarps or else someone will back over your lines with a jetski trailer. Typically gusty and shifty. When it is good, it can be great. Typically SW which can be offshore. Make sure you've a good range and upwind ability, usually means using a slightly bigger board. Water: Flat, Chop, Smallwave. Features: Toilet, Parking. Rider ability: Intermediate, Expert.
